Training and Satisfaction
My company has organised a training for one the new product in the Ettalong Beach office today and tomorrow. The last we had training in the office was mid of last year. It is always nice to have a training in the office here, I don't have to travel far to get to the training center and the best is, I dont have to wake up too early! With the last training we had a Red Indian trainer from the US. He is a very nice guy who travels all around the world to deliver training. The last I heard from my colleague who was talking to him on the phone, he was in Moscow delivering training for that particular product. And for today's training - I'm not sure if the trainer comes from the US. I wasn't briefed about it. But last week we had a meeting with Sr Director of Product Marketing from Ohio, US and Product Mgr of Apps Mgmt Solutions from Ontario Canada. I can tell the Product Mgr is a metrosexual guy. From his coat down to his shoes they're all branded - I can tell. I asked if he is coming down to our office next week, he said he wish he could but he is heading back to Ontario. Too bad!
Anyhow, this is whats happening this week - just training and continuing of the project I was involved for the past weeks and months at one of the Global Financial House
Last week I solved an issue not known by anyone in the company at one of the Oil and Gas Company in Sydney. I was on site with my new colleague and can be considered I am alone working on the issues. Anyhow, by 6:30pm the problem was solved and customer is happy - I did a follow up call the next day and the system is still working fine. Besides I am still working on the first deployment in Australia for ESM - Apparently my boss told me it is the first in the world too! There are some issues and missing bits and pieces which has been communicated through to the US. I am still waiting for response for the next step for the deployment.
